Found in 1968, gradually grown and established in the field of traditional Handloom weaving, with the favorable support of State and Central Govts., Kerala State Handloom Development Corporation Ltd (KSHDC) took the task with the primary objective of preserving this ancient craft, and protecting its dependents from the threat of power looms/ fully automatic looms / machineries. The brand name HANVEEV has since then been considered synonym to quality hand-woven fabrics, and today has grown from strength to strength.

KSHDC

6500 skilled and highly experienced weavers, weaving 2 million meters every year, have contributed to the growth of KSHDC. 77 exclusive hanveev showrooms, 7 mobile showrooms and 400 dedicated and experienced personnel at KSHDC, have taken the market share of HANVEEV across the country

The corporate office of the Corporation is at Kannur with three regional offices at Kannur, Ernakulam & Trivandrum. Moreover Corporation have its own fabric processing factory at Chirakkal, Kannur with three of its pre-processing units at Kalliassery, Chittur & Nemom.

The fabric processing facilities are upgraded recently at Chirakkal, Kannur to the possible extend with the help of Kannur Zilla Panchayath to extend service to our own products as well as to the Industry as a whole.

Mission
The mission of this Corporation is to undertake and protect the weavers of unorganised handloom sector throughout the state.

To reach our products Hanveev presents a refreshing range of traditional handwoven , Zari designer sarees, cotton sarees, Dothies, Set mundu, Lungies, cotton shirtings, towels, bed sheets and a bunch of traditional verities.
