IT Parks

 
Cyberpark Kozhikode has been conceptualised as a major IT hub catering to the northern part of Kerala for the development of IT/ITeS sector in the state.
 
Cyberpark Kozhikode the first technology park promoted by the State in the Malabar region was established under Cyberpark Kozhikode an autonomous society registered under the Society Registration Act 1860, on 28th January 2009. The ultimate objective was to create quality infrastructure and create an environment which would support & enhance the development of Information & Communication Technology, direct & indirect Job opportunities and parallel contribution to the economic development of the State.
 
In association with KSITIL, Cyberpark obtained the co-developer status and has leased out 5 acres of SEZ land out of a total extent of 43.5 acres from KSITIL (Developer) and has constructed an administrative office with a built-up area of The Park Centre in 2013 and the first IT SEZ building with a built-up area of 2.88 lakh sq. ft with a structure of Double basement + ground + four floors, which was under construction
 
The park provides a unique business model with a quality IT space in terms of Smart Business Centres – a plug & Play module and a Warm Shell Option for lease. IT/ITeS companies could establish their presence in Cyberpark and commence operations immediately or design their office space as per their specifications and have an end to end solution
 
Aiming to provide all supporting facilities and amenities, the current facilities at Cyberpark include robust infrastructure, excellent digital connectivity, in-house power distribution, 100% power back-up with an eco-friendly environment.
 
Cyberpark is headed by Chief Executive Officer and governed by Board of Governance with Chairman being the IT Secretary and other council of Members representing various government agencies and the Governing Body is headed by the Honourable Chief Minister who is also the IT minister and the meeting is chaired annually.
 
Infopark is one of the major IT park in the state of Kerala. It mainly concentrates on the creation of infrastructure for the promotion information technology industries in the central region of the state of Kerala. To set up this project, Government has transferred 100 acres of land which is now under the ownership and possession of Infoparks Kerala, which is an independent Society fully owned by the Government.
 
Infopark has ambitious plans to become one of the major IT Parks in the country. With this vision, it has been growing fast ever since its inception in 2004, and within a short period of time, has attracted investments from major brands like Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Cognizant, EY, KPMG, Xerox, EXL, IBS Software Services and US Technology. Because of the fast growth rate achieved and strategic positioning of the Park in the upcoming city of Kochi (previously known as Cochin), Infopark is well known among the IT/ITES investors as a very potential destination.
 
Infopark Phase I, Kochi
Infopark Phase I campus is developed in 100.86 acre with more than 5 million sq ft  built up area , located at Kakkanad village, Kanayannur taluk, Ernakulam district. Around 80 acres has been notified as an IT sector Specific Economic Zone by Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. Infopark has developed three IT buildings in this campus with an aggregate built up space of 7,13,500 sq ft, which is let out to IT companies for setting up their business. 
 
The campus includes amenities such as food courts, banking counters, ATM, shopping arcade, etc. Smart Business Centres with plug and play facility provided by Infopark has high demand in the market for its quality of service. Apart from this, Infopark also give land on long lease to co-developers for developing their own campus. Leela Group, L&T, Wipro, Brigade Enterprises etc. has developed their own campus within Infopark under this scheme. The Leela Infopark (Presently Carnival Infopark) has SEZ built up space of 7.43 lakh sq.ft and Non SEZ built up space of 1.27 lakh sq.ft. L&T Tech Park, taken over by lulu group, on completion of constructions will have 1.8 million sq.ft IT space. Campus of Wipro is having about 1 million sq ft and Brigade World Trade Centre has started it operations with 3.5 lakh sq.ft building.
 
Infopark Phase II, Kochi
The upcoming Phase II project is spread across 160 acres aiming to create 8 million sq. ft and generating at least 80,000 direct jobs on completion of the project. Cognizant's 7 lakh sq.ft building campus has become operational. Infopark 4 lakh sq.ft building was completed and become operational .Further, we have UST global, Claysys, and Media systems to build their own campuses and investors like TransAsia, Caspian Techpark, Muthoot Group etc to build IT infrastructure. Also as part of creating ‘walk-to-work' township, we were able to tender out an international school in Phase-II.  
 
Master plan for second phase envisages infrastructure development for cost effective BPO complexes, software development blocks in SEZ and non SEZ clusters, utility services including substation, water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant, road network etc. The park is designed as an eco-friendly green park with high energy saving measures and least carbon emission. The existing eco system will be maintained to the highest possible level. Apart from the built up space for IT, the park propose to  have a convention centre, shopping complex, commercial centres, recreation and entertainment centres creating indirect employment as well.
 
Infopark Cherthala
Infopark is developing another 66 acre campus in Cherthala in Alappuzha District, which is about 30 km away from Kochi. 60 acres of this campus is notified as IT/ITeS Special Economic Zone. The First IT Building by Infopark having an area of 2.4 lakh sq.ft, currently houses around 25 companies and employees more than 450 IT professionals. It has ‘Ready to move in Plug n Play' options for Start-ups and Small Medium Companies and ‘Warm shell' options for Companies who are looking for a big scale space. The IT Building is well equipped to suit the IT Companies with Food courts, Conference Hall, Discussion Rooms, Game Zones etc. The facility when fully occupied will have around 2,500 employees working. 
 
Infopark Thrissur
Another campus of Infopark is located at Koratty which is around 45 KM from Kochi in Thrissur District. It is approximately 20 Km from Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery. The park is situated very close to the National Highway 47. Currently Infopark, Thrissur possesses 30 acres of prime land. The first set of IT Buildings of approximately 70,000 sq.ft area with plug and play facilities is fully occupied, employing more than 600 IT professionals. To meet the growing demand Infopark constructed a 3.3 lakh sq.ft SEZ building, Indeevaram, Thrissur; this will add another 3,000 jobs
 
Infopark TBC, Kaloor
We have been supporting the state government's activities to promote entrepreneurship culture among the youth in the state. Infopark's Technology Business Centre (TBC) in Kaloor is just one step in this direction. Infopark recently added a new 4,000 sq.ft IT block to the existing work-space in TBC, which is an incubation facility for IT entrepreneurs and MSMEs. This is expected to give a major boost to small and mid-segment IT firms looking for affordable work-space within the city. Currently the facility houses more than 70 companies and employees more than 400 IT professionals.
 
Technopark is an autonomous organisation fully owned by Government of Kerala registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955. This is a CMMI Level 4, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OSHAS 18001:2007 certified Technology 
 
It is a landmark that you cannot miss in God's own country, Kerala and its situated right in the capital city Thiruvananthapuram. Home to 50,000 IT/ITeS professionals, it is bringing into focus a milestone of an achievement that will surely make eyebrows lift up with surprise. 
 
With several ISO and global certifications to its credit, Technopark has two distinctions that are indeed remarkable – firstly, it is among the country's largest IT parks in absolute area, spread across 760 acres and secondly, it is seen as one of the world's greenest technopolis as well. The 760 acres of Technopark includes 289 acres of SEZ land area also.
 
The park is now home to IT corporates like Infosys, UST Global, TCS, Allianz Cornhill, IBS, Tata Elxsi, Oracle, Ernst & Young, Quest Global, Navigant among others. Technopark has 370 companies who have either made this citadel their primary address or an operational location that is of significance. 
 
The campus spreads across sprawling five different phases viz, Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3, Technocity & Technopark Kollam. Technopark has both IT SEZ and non SEZ area within the campus. SEZ & STPI Trivandrum office operates out of Technopark.
 
Technopark is owned and administered by the Kerala Government and is headed by a Chief Executive Officer. In addition to this, it has a governing council and a board of governors, both of which include top officials of the government. Administrative offices, including that of the CEO, are housed in the Park Centre building. Technopark also hosts Kerala Start-Up Mission with incubation facilities, to support and promote young entrepreneurs to venture into IT/ITeS business. ICFOSS & ICT Academy also operates out of Technopark.
 
On the educational front too Technopark has a contribution to be proud of. For, two prominent educational and research institutes are housed in Technopark – the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Kerala (IIITMK), CDAC and the Asian School of Business. 
 
Technopark aims to provide all the infrastructure and support facilities needed for IT/ITeS companies to function. In addition to built-up office space, it also provides all utilities as well as connectivity. This is done either directly or through private partners. In addition, Technopark provides business incubation facilities for start-up firms as well as some social infrastructure for the people working in the park.

Technopark Club includes a gym, ladies fitness centre, swimming pool, restaurant, sporting facilities and suite rooms for stay. Technomall - a shopping center, Solid Waste Management Unit (daily 3 ton capacity unit within the campus), Technopark Guesthouse, Amphitheatre, Conference halls. 
 
It has control room facility and 24/7 security surveillance with 126 cameras with night vision. The campus has a well-maintained guest house, restaurants, elegant food court, fire-fighting network throughout the campus and e-waste disposal facility.
