1

Management of dismantled materials to be carried out by Contractor

The Project envisages renovation of existing auditorium. as such any equipment or material which can renovated to meet the specifications set out in the draft EPC Agreement, would be renovated and re-installed. In the opinion of the Project Engineer. If any high value items are being dismantled and are not required for the Project, such material shall be stored at an identified space inside the Project Area for sale by PWD. All balance material shall be disposed of by the Contractor in terms of Applicable Permits and Applicable Laws.

2

Requirement of 11 KV supply and transformer to cater to the electrical loads

Necessary costs in terms of additional license fees, deposits and any other costs for transformer etc. for supplying power from the state power grid to Tagore Cultural Centre shall be borne by the Government.

3

Responsibility of converting balcony into mini auditorium would need to be taken by the Agency, which recommends this usage.

For conversion to a mini auditorium, the balcony would require an extension of the floor. The bidders are expected to visit the project site and make their own independent assessment of the stability of such extension. Development of architectural cross section of the balcony should be a part of the Technical Proposal of the bidders.

There is no mandatory change in the structural slope of the balcony. The slope of the sitting area would therefore be left to the bidders and would need to be indicated in Technical Proposal.

No studies have been conducted to test the stability/strength of existing balcony. Bidders may make their own independent studies in this regard.

4

Underground tunnel connecting the car park to the stage

In terms of the draft EPC Agreement, renovation of underground tunnel is not envisaged; bidders may therefore, take a suitable decision regarding the utility of the tunnel to the Project in their technical proposal.

5

Revised stage payment would need to be fine tuned when actual agreement is executed

Please refer to Addendum to RFP Document: Schedule 3, Para 2 of Draft EPC Agreement.

6

Can the contract can be awarded if only one technically acceptable proposal is received.

The RFP Document does not stipulate any minimum number of valid and technically acceptable proposals required for award of contract.

Suggestion-Bidder could consider changing the slope by metallic lightweight frames on which seats can be fitted. The depth of these frames can be adjusted to achieve the designed slope.
