Note:-
1. The notice for sale shall be duly served and published at least 30 days before the date of sale.
2. Sale shall be by public auction to the highest bidder.  Sale notice shall be in both English and Malayalam and in the language of the locality where such language is not Malayalam

Fees For Revision Petition :- Court fee stamp for Rs. 10/- should be affixed on the Revision Petition. Interlocutory applications if any should bear Court Fee stamp worth Rs. 5/- each.

Time limit For Making Attachment :-
      Attachment cannot be done before sun rise or after sunset.
 Time limit For Detention :-
     The period of detention is that not exceeding 3 months where the arrear does not exceed Rs. 500/-.  If the arrears Exceeds Rs. 500/- the detention period is not exceeding 2 years

Approval Procedure The authority requiring the recovery of arrears should.  Make a formal request to the District Collector who, in turn authorities the concerned Tahasildar to effect recovery by issuing a RRC.  On receipt of the same the Tahasildar or the Deputy Tahasildar will notice u/s 7 (for attaching a movable property).  These notices are served on the defaulter.  If he refuses to remit the arrears, attachment proceedings are taken.  The attached property is sold in public auction and the amount is adjusted towards the arrears.
Exclusions No, The following articles cannot be attached
. Ordinary wearing apparel
. Tali, Wedding ring or other ornament found on the body of a person which   according to custom or religious usage cannot be parted with;
. Minimum articles required for poojas or religious worship
. Implements of husbandry and ¼ the number of ploughing cattle subject to a   minimum of 1 pair
. Tools of artisans etc
Special Conditions  
Appellate Authority Against the order of Thahasildar :- There is in provision for appeal in the RR Act. You can move the District Collector with an ordinary petition bearing Court fee stamp of Rs. 5/-
