Approval Procedure Govt. lands will be leased out as per Kerala Land Assignment Rules, 1964.
Lands which are not immediately required for public purpose are leased out without auction for          (a) Agricultural purposes
(b) Beneficial enjoyment
(c) Any scheme approved  by Government
(d) Agricultural purposes of co-operative societies
(e) Putting up pandals, sheds for conferences, fares, festivals, marriages, cinema, circus, drama and exhibitions
(f) Lease for retting of coconut husks, stockings of materials, use as play grounds, putting shops, construction of petrol Banks etc.
Special Conditions I) Non-renewal of lease: -
    1. The land will be resumed after the expiry of lease period if the application for renewal is not filed.
II) Cancellation/termination of Lease: -
    1. Lease would be cancelled in case of violation of lease agreement.
    2. The sanctioning authority is competent to terminate the lease/licence after giving 60 days notice, If the land is required by the Govt. or for public purpose.
    3. It can be terminated after giving 15 days notice, If the assignee violates the conditions of lease.
Appellate Authority Appeal shall lie to Commisoner of Land Revenue against the order of District Collector and to Governement against orders of Commissioner of Land Revenue.
Within 30 days of receipt of order.
Appeal petition has to be afixed with Court fee Stamp.
