How To Apply

Prescribed Form is available for filing application. » The application for license for crackers below 50 Kgs. Will be got enquired through Tahsildar, Fire Department and Police.The license wil be issued based on the above said enquiry after realising a license fee of Rs.150/-.So far as storage of explosives more than 50 kg the NOC will be send to the Controller of Explosives,Chennai based on the enquiry report of the above said departments. NOC is to be obtained from them » No prescribed form for filing appeal It should be filed, 30 days from the date of communication of the order

Approval Procedure

For carackers below 50Kgs
After satisfying that the licence will not be used for illegal purposes, the district Collector issue the licence. The distance between two shop should not be below 15 meters
Procedure to be followed before disposing of the appeal petition
On receipt of the appeal petition, a copy of the same is forwarded to the District Collector for obtaining the connected collectorate file and detailed report on the Appeal Petition. On verifying the report and records and after giving an opportunity to the appellant for being heard the Commissioner, Land Revenue pass final order

Special Conditions

Is there any provision for appeal against the order of the District Collector?
No. The order of the appellate authority is final. It can be challenged only before the Hon. High Court of Kerala. Any person agrieved either on the issue of license or rejecting the request forstorage of explosive below 50 kg of explosive or agrieved against the grant or rejection of NOC for storage of more than 50 kgs by the District Collector may file appeal in writing with in 30 days on receipt of the order of the Collector.
