How To Apply	Apply in the prescribed form Affix a court fee stamp worth Rs. 5/- (SC/ST exempted).
Whom to apply	Village officer
Documents required	I. Enclose document to prove community. II. For SC/ST candidates who are applying for the purposes like educational Employment and the concession:- Details should include :- where-abouts of the applicant and family members, Cast/community they belong to etc. The report of the Village officer while applying to Tahasildar. III. Belongs taluk or district other than where he applied for the certificate:- Need to produce a certificate from his own taluk. IV. In case a person who belongs to SC list converted to Christian community returned to Hindu community the following documents have to be included while apply for caste certificate. 1. Shudhi Certificate 2. Complete name and address of those who participated in shudhi karma 3. The Gazette notification of the conversion 4. The statement of a responsible person who belongs to the same community that the person is living as a Hindu after conversion.
Approval Authority	Issuing the certificate:-     1. General - Village officer     2. SC/ST - Taluk Tahasildar     3. Outside State - Taluk Tahasildar     4. Inside State - Village officer
Enquiry	On enquiry by the Village officer on the basis of relevent documents, Gazette notification etc.
Special Conditions	I) Inter caste marriage:-    1. One of the married couple belongs to SC/ST:- The children are eligible to get SC/ST certificate for all   purposes (an option made only once) .    2. One of the married couple belongs to OBC:- The children are eligible to get OBC certificate.    3. Inter caste married divorced couple :- The children are eligible for concession. II) Applicant belongs taluk or district other than where he applied for the certificate - He has to produce a certificate from his own taluk Converted person:- In case a person who belongs to SC list converted to Christian community returned to Hindu community the following documents have to be included while apply for caste certificate. 1. The statement of a responsible person who belongs to the same community that the person is living as a Hindu after conversion llegally adopted child :- In the case of child when the where about of its parents is not known or became orphan form childhood itself and the  adoption is done without legal procedure and the couple who adopted the child belongs to same community.  The child eligible to get the status of those parents who is adopted, otherwise the status of the community on which the child is growing up, if the parents are not legally married, the child get status of the community of its mother.
