Licence is issued for three years, unless it is revoked.

Approval Procedure

On receipt of the application for arms licenses (if the application for license valid in a district, or in any particular area of the district on throughout Kerala) the district authority shall call for an report from the concerned Superintendent of Police, Tahsildar and the Divisional Forest Officer and after giving an opportunity to the applicant for being heard pass orders either granting the license or rejecting the application.
