First Indian State to achieve total literacy. State first to implement land reforms. State with highest life expectancy. State with lowest birth rate. State with lowest infant mortality. Only state with hospital facility in every village. State in which the communication infrastructure is the highest.
Kerala Now

School education in the state is progressing in a peaceful way. However, entry to professional colleges has become an arduous task for students and parents due to the unusual demands of management for higher fees. That there is no reverse exodus of non-resident Keralites owing to global financial downturn is a matter of relief for all.
A sense of urgency for preserving our environment shown in schemes like planting of one crore saplings augurs well for the state.
