A Memorandum of Understanding was signed for the transfer of 645 acres of land for the proposed Kannur International Airport Ltd. raising the share of the State Government to 26%. The transferred land, valued at Rs. 122 crore will form the government share in the flagship project. Handing over an additional 619 acres on a lease agreement through KINFRA at the rate of Rs. 100 per acre for the project is under active consideration. MoU was signed by SBU Regional Manager Mr. Rajasekhar Bhaskar and KINFRA MD Mr. Ram Nath.
