Irrigation

           The cumulative investment so far made by the State in the irrigation sector under various Five Year Plan is estimated to be Rs.2735 crores (Rs.1877 cores on major & medium projects and Rs.459 on minor irrigation projects). The total irrigated area as updated in 1998-99 is

Total - 3,74,509

Net area irrigated to net area sown is 16.58 per cent.
