ADMINISTRATIVE SANCTION FOR MARANATTY SCHEME 50 KW

ORDER

            The Attappady Block Panchayat had identified one Micro Hydel Project, Viz, Maranatty Micro Scheme under Janakeeyasoothranam 1999-2000 for generation of power aiming to supply power to the isolated houses situated in the undeveloped areas of Attappady. The scheme envisages generation and supply of 50 kW power per day.  It has been reported that the State Planning Board had accorded provisional approval for this project.

            The Secretary, Kerala State Electricity Board in his letter read above has requested to issue license to the Attappady Block Panchayat for the scheme as a stand alone unit subject to the clearance from the Chief Electrical Inspector for the development of this remote area.

            Government have examined the matter in detail and are pleased to accord sanction to KSEB to issue license to the Attappady Block Panchayat to implement the "Maranatty Scheme 50 kW", the micro hydel scheme under "Janakeeyasoothranam 1999-2000" as a stand-alone unit, subject to clearance from the Chief Electrical Inspector.
