ORDER
As per Para 12of the G.O. read as first paper above
the maximum income of the family of the deceased Government
Servant should not exceed Rs. 1,50,000. (Rupees one
lakh fifty thousand only) per annum to make a dependent
eligible for Compassionate Employment and this limit
will be revised from time to time. Representations
have been received by Government to enhance the present
family income limit fixed for Compassionate Employment.
Justice Narendran Commission has also fixed an annual
income limit of Rs. 23 Lakhs to determine the creamy
Layer from other Backward Classes for appointment to
Government Services.
In these circumstances, Government are pleased to enhance
the maximum income of the family of the deceased Government
to Rs. 3,00,000 (Rupees three lakhs only) per annum
to make a dependent eligible for Compassionate Employment.
Government are also pleased to clarify that the dependents
of those candidates selected through Public service
commission who happen to die while undergoing pre service
training and the dependents of Government Employees
who die while on leave without allowance under Appendix
XII A part I Kerala Service Rules will also be eligible
for Compassionate Employment under the scheme subject
to other conditions.
