The
much awaited JBIC assisted Kerala Water
Supply Project (KWSP) is finally ready
for take off. The project with an estimated
cost of Rs.1787.45 crores comprises five
sub projects, viz., Water Supply Improvements
to Thiruvananthapuram City Region, Water
supply to Meenad and adjoining villages
in Kollam district, Water supply to Cherthala
and adjoining villages in Alappuzha district,
water supply Improvements to Kozhikode
city region and water supply to Puttuvam
and adjoining villages in Kannur district.
the Kerala water authority is proud to
be the executing agency of this largest
ever water supply project undertaken in
the State, which will be implemented on
a fast track basis and completed within
a period of four years. the project will
meet the drinking water needs of forty
three lakhs of people and contribute substantially
to the overall development of the project
area.
