Web portal and call centre against cyber crimes launched

Web portal and call centre to prevent cyber crimes in State were launched on July 30, 2007. State IT secretary K R Jyothilal inaugurated the portal. The portal of URL www.cyberkeralam.in contains information on cyber threats, virus attacks, preventive measures, precautions methods of reporting etc. A call centre bearing the no 0471-2727004 is also opened in connection with the portal for clearing doubts. The portal was developed by the cyber forensic wing of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) under the leadership of Kerala I T mission and with technical support from the high-tech cell of the Kerala police. The complaints and suggestion received in the portal will be transferred to the high-tech crime inquiry cell of the police.
