OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS

         The Department of Cultural Publications was formed in 1983 and is modeled on the line of the publication Division of the Government of India. The functional objectives of the Department are publication of:-

(i) A series of authentic Biographies of illustrious Keralites of the past on the model of English Men of Letters series in English.
(ii) A detailed Cultural History of Kerala.
(iii) Annotated editions of books of cultural and Classical value.
(iv) Re-publication of rare and unique books.
So far this Department has published 94 books of which the book "Dekshinandian Sangeetham" has been reprinted seven times with 40,000 copies altogether (A detailed list of books published attached)
